The uniqueness of Thanal Pain and Palliative Centre is its diverse operations and maximisation of care. Contrary to the increasing number of patients suffering from life threatening diseases like cancer, our state does not have adequate facilities and centres which offer pain-mitigating services and many palliative clinics in the state are suffering the handicap of poor organisation and unscientific practices.

At Thanal Pain and Palliative clinic, well-integrated services are on offer. The centre works on all weekdays and offers Palliative O.P., Doctor’s Home Care, Nurse’s and Volunteers’ Home Care etc. (doctors and nurses visiting the houses of the patients to monitor conditions).

Thanal’s doctors, nurses and other volunteers reach out to them for care and assistance. At night, members of our mobile unit are set to help patients when they need the help of a doctor or nurse.
